To set out line, wet line, remove end cap and tie the end of line. The line and hooks will slide freely from the holder. Point the holder slightly upward while releasing the line. Change the angle to control flow of line. To take up trotline turn the holder upward and pull the boat with the holder, placing the hooks in it with other hand. The line can be taken up as fast as you can reach a hook and place it in the holder.
